Trevélez Blue Label Ham 17 months
This Trevélez serrano ham has a blue label, as it is cured for a minimum of 20 months in Juviles, Sierra Nevada, and is protected under the geographical indication Trevélez Ham.
Like all hams certified by the IGP, its curing is 100% natural and it is obtained from pigs of the Landrace, Large-White, and Duroc-Jersey breeds, or their respective crosses. The pigs from which this ham comes are fed with vegetable feed.
The fatty and tender meat is selected, and this Aromas de Sierra Nevada ham comes from female white pigs, for maximum quality. Only sea salt is used, without preservatives or nitrifying agents, and the special climatic conditions of the Alpujarra area do the rest.
This ham is not only a unique product but also a piece of history and tradition, as it was common for the Royal House to supply itself with the best artisan products, among which this ham was included.
In 1862, Queen Isabel II granted the "Crown Seal" to Trevélez Ham, endorsing its quality.
